  • Description:
Information relations between agents (subjects) have been studied. Within an informatics project examining processes related to maintenance and occupancy of construction works (The INFOR-project) at the Design Methodology Department at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. Certain models developed previously to describe relations between subject, information means and objects have been applied in the study as well as the relationships between functional objectives, means and resources in the planning of information systems. The study can also be regarded as a development of the ‘Notification Hexagon’ developed by Fairthorne and further developed by Moorrs. As a further development functional subsystems in object systems and related information flow are discussed. Here principles for subsystems developed by Miller, Blumenthal, Samuelson, Newell-Simon and Karlen are compared.
