  • Description: <jats:p> Amid the Covid-19 Pandemic, there are increasing reports of the health workforce experiencing adverse outcomes including fatigue, presenteeism and burnout, which have serious safety implications. In this paper we discuss issues of measurement around the phenomena of fatigue, burnout and presenteeism and burnout, and propose a way forward to assess and reduce the negative impact of these on systems’ safety. </jats:p>
