Description:
SUMMARYA lacustrine deposit with included peat was discovered beneath till at Scandal Beck, Cumbria. A pollen diagram from the organic layers has three pollen assemblage zones which cover the last part of an interglacial. It is argued that the deposit most probably dates from the Ipswichian.
