<jats:p xml:lang="en">Tennyson’s Arthurian poems reshaped conceptions of the Arthurian stories and characters. Particularly influential were his depictions of Arthur and of Galahad and his creation of a final meeting between Arthur and Guinevere. While not limited to drama, Tennyson’s influence is seen in striking ways in Arthurian plays of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.</jats:p>
