  • Description: Seven citrus essential oils (CEOs) and fourterpenes were tested againstelevenbacterial pathogenic strains isolated from food to evaluate the antimicrobial effects. All CEOs presented antibacterial activities. In particular, CEOs were very active against StaphylococcusEpidermidis, which was found to be the most sensitive toward all oils, showing high growth inhibition.
