  • Description: Passengers, who travel by public transport, including urban transport, are in need of fast and reliable passenger information. Replacement of simple and scant passenger information based on rigid assumptions, transmitted mainly using tables and printed time-sheets, with modern, dynamic and adaptive, but also complicated systems, which use audio-visual devices has become a common trend. The article presents the characteristics of the Dynamic Passenger Information System in Radom public transport, commissioned for use in 2014. The main needs of introducing the DPIS are discussed followed by the analysis of the complexity and functionality of the system and the assessment of its validity.
