  • Description: The excavation took place in March 1990 at Wildshaw Burn, near Nether Abington, South Lanarkshire, in advance of the upgrading of the A74 to motorway standard. Despite structural similarities between the site and excavated examples of Bronze Age enclosed cremation cemeteries, it proved impossible to assign either a date or a function to the monument with any degree of confidence.
