Un vieux problème géomorphologique : les niveaux bordiers au sud du Golfe de Corinthe (An old geomorphological problem : the levels developed on the southern border of the gulf of Corinth)
Description:
Abstract. - On the southern coast of the Gulf of Corinth, a quaternary rift margin (+ 1 000/1 800 m) is interfering with marine transgressions which developed nine levels, below a piedmont level formed after the end of the Pliocene and attacked by two levels, at least, deeply weathered. The variations of the heights and of the number of levels emphasize the complicated geometry of the deformations around the great faults. The pre-tyrrhenian marine levels do not enter easily into the traditionnal quaternary chronology.
