<jats:p>Texhnicians' pratiœs and identity of the husbandry institute - This article studies the conceptions and constructs of technicians in the husbandry institute. From the emergence of needs among breeders to the formulation of responses, social interactions among executive staff and technicians are shown to play a role in choosing the jobs undertaken by the institute. These interactions are accounted for in light of the organisational characteristics of the institution, and the social characteristics of the agents involved.</jats:p>
