Description:
This paper was designed with the objective of describing
the characteristics and consequences of femicide in order
to raise awareness in society about the psychological
impact of its normalization and minimization. This crime
is due to the fact that the conduct itself develops within an
unequal power relationship between men and women, due
to different factors, among which can be found: economic,
political, social, religious and sexual, to mention a few.
Affecting not only the life and integrity of women, but also
third parties, such as the family. It is for this reason that
this paper seeks to provide a look at the effects that
femicide has on society, as well as the characteristics and
consequences of the same and some intervention strategies
that can be applied, giving importance to the psychological
area and the way in which, as a society we can contribute
something to stop normalizing this type of violence.
