The article presents the monthly horizon forecasting measurement for service companies based on business survey conducted by the Polish CSO from the beginning of 2003 to May 2011. Forecasting survey questions were compared with appropriate diagnostic questions for the period of forecasting. They concerned the general and the financial situations of the company, the demand for services and the sale of services, as well as prices of sold services. Due to the presence of seasonal and random fluctuations the data have been cleared of seasonality. The analysis found that the forecast horizon ranges from one month to 3 months in more than half the cases.
