The term "hidden camera" refers to the disappearance of the use of the video-camera in ethnographic writing despite the fact that it is commonly used in research. This observation has led to investigation of those sectors in which the use of video equipment is declared and is an integral part of textual documentation (the study of practices related to work and cultural technology, and the study of interaction). The authors describe their research experiences and the way in which they have made use of video in writing.
