<p>Tricalysia lejolyana is described as a new species from the Banyang Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary in western Cameroon and its conservation status assessed. Its diagnostic characteristics are elucidated in relation to other taxa of the genus, in particular, to the species of the 'T. atherura' group of Tricalysia subg. Tricalysia, sect. Tricalysia, in which it falls.</p>
