<p>Four subjects who produced immotile sperm were studied. In three of the subjects, who had frequent bronchitis and sinusitis, there was no mucociliary transport, as measured by tracheobronchial clearance. Electron microscopy indicated that cilia from cells of these patients lack dynein arms.</p>
