Description:

The lace bug, Corythucha distincta Osborn and Drake, attacked scattered Platte thistles, Cirsium canescens Nutt., in the Nebraska Sandhills. Nymphal populations on infested plants were large and caused necrotic leaves and stems. However, seed production of infested plants was not significantly different from non-infested plants.
