<p>Sikkim is much more densely populated than Bhutan, has a much higher population growth rate, and has incurred serious environmental losses at the expense of the poor. Bhutan, unlike other Himalayan countries, is not overpopulated; its environmental condition is far superior, and, while constant care is required, its government has been able to contain much more effectively the negative impacts of foreign aid and development. /// La densité de la population et le taux de croissance démographique du Sikkim sont plus élevés qu'au Bhoutan, et l'environnement y a été sérieusement endommagé, au détriment des pauvres. A l'opposé d'autres pays himalayens, le Bhoutan n'est pas surpeuplé et son environnement est en bien meilleur état. Bien qu'une attention continuelle soit nécessaire, le gouvernement du Bhoutan a réussi à contrôler les effets contraires des programmes d'aide au développement. /// Im Vergleich zu Bhutan ist Sikkim dichter besiedelt, hat eine größere Wachstumsrate und hat durch die Armen großen Umweltschaden erlitten.
