Description:

A highly undifferentiated sarcoma was encountered in the left rear leg of a wild female white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) that had died at a minimum age of 11 years. The neoplasm had metastasized to the left inguinal lymph node, both adrenal glands, kidneys, liver, and lungs. The ear-tagged animal had been captured 10 years earlier by the remote delivery of alkaloidal nicotine. Speculation was presented concerning possible inciting agents of the tumor.
