Les monuments architecturaux dans les régions de Solvyčegodsk et de Kargopoľ de la province d'Arhangelsk. L'auteur aborde d'abord l'héritage architectural des régions étudiées dans un large contexte historique. Il axe ensuite son article autour de deux sites de première importance de la province d'Arhangeľsk. Le premier, Solvyčegodsk constitue l'exemple le plus élaboré de l'architecture religieuse et artistique de toute la Russie. Le second, le site de Kargopoľ, riche en monuments du XVIIe siècle, de même que les villages des alentours, offrent les meilleurs exemples d'églises en bois encore bien conservées. The authors talks in the beginning about the architectural heritage of the regions under consideration in the larger historical context. He then centers his article around the two examples of foremost importance in the region of Arkhangel'sk. The first -the town of Sol'vychegodsk presents the most elaborate example of religious art and architecture in all of Russia. The second town - Kargopoľ, is rich in monuments dating from the 17th century, and surrounding villages present the best examples of the well-preserved wooden churches. Very important commercial centers prior to the 18th century, these towns suffer from the consequences of the economic crises.
