The current article is part of a larger study that searches an approach to the meaning of divine lactation in ancient Egypt. After an initial publication focused on the kurotrophic iconography “ Iconographies of Lactating Goddesses in Ancient Egypt : Typologies and Evolution,” the objective of this contribution is to gather knowledge about the properties of divine breast milk, with a view to understanding the function of lactating goddesses in Egyptian culture.
Cet article fait partie d’ une étude qui tente une approche du sens de l’ allaitement divin dans l’ Égypte ancienne. Après une première approche basée sur l’ iconographie courotrophe «Iconografias de las diosas lactantes en el Antiguo Egipto. Tipologías y evolución » , l’ objectif de cette contribution est de comprendre les propriétés du lait divin pour définir la fonction des déesses allaitantes dans la culture égyptienne.
