Description:
From Data Platting to Map Transformation. Some Proposals for Mapping of Population Data. This paper presents some new methods of data population representation, and stresses their interests and eventual dangers. Cartographic transformations lead to a distorted picture, which is unique and comparable. It is, therefore, impossible to use them at all times. There are new and interesting research possibilities in cartography, but it is necessary to look into the matter closely with a critical eye.
