Migrations, régionalisations and regionalisms in Cameroun The analysis of migrations between 49 départements of Cameroun provides a régionalisation of this state and reveals the existence of three main integrated regions and a wide interstitial area. This spatial organization is partly determined by the inequal repartition of population density inside the state and by the localization of the main towns. But the use of a gravity model reveals also significant barriers effects between West and East along the former historical and linguistic boundary. Secondary barriers effects appear also between North and South.
L'analyse des migrations entre les 49 départements camerounais conduit à une régionalisation du pays qui met en évidence trois régions fortement intégrées et une vaste zone interstitielle. Cette organisation spatiale est déterminée en partie par l'inégale répartition des densités de population et par la localisation des plus grandes villes. L'utilisation d'un modèle de gravité permet toutefois de révéler un important effet de barrière entre l'Ouest et l'Est, de part et d'autre de l'ancienne limite historique et linguistique. Un effet de barrière secondaire s'observe également entre le Nord et le Sud du pays
