résumé : La rhétorique arabe (balagà), fondée au XIe siècle par cAbd al-Qâhir al- ôurëânï (m. 1078), a développé un modèle original d'analyse de l'énoncé. Ce modèle reconnaît le rôle central de l'énonciateur comme élément central dans la constitution de la relation predicative. Elle a également élaboré un concept très général, celui de « contrainte » (qayd), pour rendre compte de toutes les modifications susceptible d'affecter les termes de base de la relation predicative pour donner naissance à un énoncé effectif. Le caractère général de ce concept permet de reconnaître ce modèle comme une grammaire de dépendance.
abstract : Arabic rhetoric (balâga), which was founded in the xith century by cAbd al-Qâhir al-Gurgânï (d. 1078), developed an original model for the analysis of utterances. This model clearly recognizes the role of the speaker as central in the constitution of the predicative relation It also elaborated a very general concept, that of constraint (qayd), to account for all the modifications which may affect the basic terms of a predicative relashion to produce an actual utterance. The generality of this concept makes it possible to recognize the whole model as a dependency grammar.
