The present paper analyses the evolution of the agrarian problem and the social structure of the peasantry in Romania. This study focuses on the Wallachia and Moldavian peasantry, because the documents present the evolution of the agrarian problem in this area. The measures taken in the agrarian field were pretty ineffective and they did not resolve the problem of peasantry even after 1907, when the uprising was crushed brutally by the authorities.
Lucrarea de față analizează evoluția problemei agrare și structura socială a țărănimii române. Acest studiu se concentrează pe țărănimea din Valahia şi Moldova, pentru că documentele prezintă evoluția problemei agrare în această zonă. Măsurile luate în domeniul agrar au fost destul de ineficiente și nu au rezolvat problema țărănimii, chiar și după 1907, când revolta a fost zdrobită cu brutalitate de către autorități.
