The urban strategy of the Lille metropolis urban governement contributes to the territorial recomposition of the metropolitan area. The approach of this mecanism by the geography of the borders, shows the risk of a double territorialisation process. The territorial projects contribute indeed to the progressive opening up of the political and administrative borders (international, intermunicipal) of the metropolis. Nevertheless, in reaction against these projects, this opening contrasts with a socio-spatial polarization which should create new borders and therefore new territories, in conflict with the strategy of the metropolitan governement.
Les stratégies déployées par les acteurs de la gouvernance métropolitaine lilloise contribuent à la recomposition territoriale de l'espace de la métropole et de son aire d'influence. L'approche de ce processus par la géographie des frontières fait ressortir le risque d'une territorialisation duale. En effet, les projets territoriaux des acteurs contribuent au décloisonnement progressif des discontinuités tant politiques qu'administratives (internationales, intercommunales) de la métropole. Cependant, en réaction ou en dépit de ces projets, ce décloisonnement contraste avec une polarisation socio-spatiale facteur d'émergence de nouvelles discontinuités et donc de territoires en discordance avec les objectifs assignés par le gouvernement métropolitain.
