Après plusieurs éditions, dues à des circonstances particulières, le texte définitif d’une épitaphe gortynienne, relative à une jeune Libyenne, a été fourni récemment par A. Martínez Fernández. On suppose, ici, que les deux occurrences de Φιλοῦς font référence à un seul cas, le génitif de Φιλώ, qui serait le nom de la défunte ; par conséquent il faut exclure l’hypothèse d’un nominatif Φιλοῦς.
After several éditions, because of particular circumstances, the final text of a Gortynian epitaph, concerning a young Libyan woman, has been completed by A. Martínez Fernández. It is supposed, here, that the two occurrences of Φιλοῦς refer to only one case, the genitive of Φιλώ, which would be the name of the deceased woman. Therefore the hypothese of a nominative Φιλοῦς must be abandoned.
