At the end of the 19th century, Peïra-Cava, a flat that had been opened by the border army in the mid-altitude mountains near the Côte d’Azur, was transformed into a major tourist site because of its accessibility and proximity to Nice. The long and complex history of this place, which is now practically abandoned, and the myth of the golden age surrounding it obscure the reality of the territorial dynamics at work : Peïra-Cava, an annex of Nice, a winter town, is now part of its leisure area.
A la fin du XIXe siècle, la proximité et l’accessibilité de Peïra-Cava depuis Nice transforment en haut lieu touristique d’été et d’hiver un replat ouvert par l’armée frontalière dans la moyenne montagne azuréenne. L’itinéraire long et complexe de ce lieu aujourd’hui pratiquement en friche et le mythe de l’âge d’or qui s’y rattache, cachent la réalité de la dynamique territoriale : Peïra-Cava, annexe de Nice, ville d’hiver, s’inscrit désormais dans son aire de loisirs.
En el fin del siglo XIX, la proximidad y la accesibilidad, desde Niza, de Peïra-Cava, han transformado en alto sitio turístico de verano y de invierno un plano abierto por el ejercito fronterizo en la montaña de la Costa Azul. La transformación, larga y compleja, de este lugar practicamente abandonado, y el mito ligado de la edad de oro, esconden la realidad de la dinamica territorial : Peïra-Cava, anexo de Niza, ciudad de invierno, pertenece ahora a su área vacacional.
