Mais il s'efforce en même temps de ressouder le consensus scientifique ébranlé par lui : avec un « nous » omniprésent et des recherches d'effets (de raisonnement, d'insistance péremptoire, d'amalgames péjoratifs, de flou dans la désignation d'un ennemi «écologiste»). L'irrationnel condamne l'irrationnel.
