ABSTRACT The links between religion, socio-economic groups, and vote are known in France, through the individual and sociological studies. But these links are unknown, or wrong, through a geographical approch. In Normandy, the socio- economic groups explain the vote (the «french system »); in Western France, the links between religion and vote are very strong, but there are no links between socio-economic groups and vote (the « occidental system »); in Brittany, « Marx » and « Jesus » keep close to each other, and the spatial explanations are complex. These three systems remind the Siegfried's systems.
RÉSUMÉ L'intégration religieuse et l'appartenance professionnelle demeurent les deux facteurs lourds explicatifs du vote. Leur fonctionnement est bien connu par sondages individuels, mais demeure discuté quand il est confronté à l'espace. Pour l'Ouest, trois systèmes explicatifs se distinguent : un système «français » où l'explication sociologique est reine, et l'action de la religion nulle; un système «occidental », où seule la religion conditionne le vote; un système breton, où « Jésus et Marx » se côtoient, rendant stérile toute approche écologique. Ces trois systèmes actuels ne sont pas sans évoquer ceux définis par Siegfried.
