Le squelette inédit du Roc-de-Cave, dont la datation correspond au Magdalénien final ou à l'Azilien, appartient à un adolescent de sexe indéterminable. Ses dimensions et l'essentiel de sa morphologie s'intègrent dans la variabilité de l'ensemble des restes humains du Paléolithique supérieur final ; en revanche de fortes dimensions dentaires le caractérisent. Quelques traits existant chez les Mésolithiques se retrouvent aussi chez cet individu. Enfin, des détails anatomiques comme des insertions en creux et une dystrophie de certains points d'ossification secondaire sont à noter.

Its absolute dating corresponds to a final Magdalenian or an Azilian culture. Its measurements and most of its morphology are within the final Upper Paleolithic human remains sample variability, but its large dental dimensions individualize it. Some special features existing among Mesolithic skeletons are also to be found in this fossil. Moreover, anatomical details as grooves for muscular insertions and a dystrophy of some secondary ossification points are lined.
