Bonn and the South African question. The various political coalitions in power which followed in Bonn, and especially the Christian Liberals, developed close ties with the apartheid regime in South Africa. There are a few reasons for this, psychological, economic and ideological determining factors as well as the multiplicity of decision making units, not forgetting the rivalries between the Ministry of Foreign affairs given to the liberal Hans Dietrich Genscher and the Ministry of Cooperation dominated by the party of the ultra conservative Franz-Josef Strauss.
Les différentes coalitions politiques qui se sont succédé au pouvoir à Bonn, et notamment les chrétiens-libéraux, ont développé des relations très étroites avec le régime d’apartheid en Afrique du Sud. Plusieurs facteurs expliquent cette situation : des déterminants psychologiques, économiques et idéologiques ainsi que la multiplicité des centres de décisions, sans oublier les rivalités entre le ministère des Affaires étrangères confié au libéral Hans-Dietrich Genscher et celui de la Coopération que dominait le parti de l’ultra-conservateur Franz-Josef Strauss.
Bonn und südafrikanische frage. Die verschiedenen Koalitionen, die sich die Macht in Bonn teilten, insbesondere die christlich-liberalen, haben sehr enge Beziehungen zu der Apartheidsregierung in Südafrika aufgebaut. Mehrere Faktoren sind für diesen Tatbestand verantwortlich : psychologische, wirts-chaftliche und ideologische Gegebenheiten, die Vielzahl der Entscheidungszentren und vor allem die Streitigkeiten zwischen dem Aussenminister Hans-Dietrich Genscher und dem Minis-terium fur Entwicklungshilfe, das dominiert wurde der Partei des erzkonservativen Franz-Josef Strauß.
