Mirrormania : Audrey Thomas’s «Munchmeyer» and «Prospero on the Island». Focussing on two novellas by Audrey Thomas, the essay traces the author’s mirrormania in its many forms. The autobiographical character of her writing, her recreation and contemplation of her own «analogy» (Baudelaire), the double, specular, male versus female structure of the novellas, the use of doubles, and last but not least the many intra and intertextual mirrors and more specifically the allusions to Through the Looking Glass.
