Since the first intervention by Dr A. and J. de Closmadeuc in 1866, both learned and amateur archaeologists hâve visited this spot, either with the goal of protection or with the idea of better understanding this vast site. None have been deceived by the remains which are numerous and varied. Following récent topographical modifications, we hâve in our turn intervened on this camp. Even if our study was limited to a double sondage, the information obtained adds to the knowledge that we already have of this earthwork.
Depuis 1866, première intervention des Dr A. et J. de Closmadeuc sur ce site, bien des érudits et amateurs d'archéologie se sont succédés sur ces lieux. Tantôt dans un but de protection, tantôt pour comprendre ce vaste ensemble, aucun n'aura été déçu tant les vestiges que l'on peut y trouver sont nombreux et variés. Suite à une modification topographique récente, nous sommes, à notre tour, intervenus sur ce camp. Et même si notre travail s'est limité à un double sondage, les constatations relevées complètent la connaissance que nous avions du retranchement.
