COMMENT EST FAITE « LA DEMOISELLE D'AVIGNON », par FRÉDÉRIC BON Le feuilleton télévisé, La demoiselle d'Avignon, véhicule une idéologie petite-bourgeoise. Cette assertion, dans sa banalité, pourrait être abondamment développée, étoffée et illustrée. Mais, pour n'être pas fausse, elle tourne court puisqu'on peut l'appliquer, indifféremment, à toute la production féerique à usagé populaire. Au rebours de cette perspective, qui noie l'ensemble de cette production dans un unique projet mystificateur, il convient de privilégier la singularité de l'œuvre. La mise à jour de la logique narrative qui, comme dans le mythe ou dans le conte, ordonne ce feuilleton, permet de déceler sa « leçon particulière » : l'échange matrimonial doit être équilibré ; il se déroule entre des groupes d'hommes qui échangent des femmes et non l'inverse et, subsidiairement, il ne convient pas que la femme ait un statut social supérieur à son mari. A part cela, il est vrai que l'univers de La demoiselle d'Avignon est mystificateur puisque les étudiants y sont sages, les familles unies, les grèves inexistantes, mais quel conte a jamais parlé de la réalité ?
