To answer this question, the author examines this model and underlines its limits ; then she rebuilds the historical process through which the Belgian social-democrat compromise was established and developed ; she finally suggests improving the scope of the neo-corporatist model by looking deeper into the notion of general interest.
Le compromis social-démocrate, tel qu'il s'est constitué en Belgique à partir de 1919, peut-il être analysé à la lumière du modèle néo-corporatiste ? Pour répondre à cette question, l'auteur examine ce modèle, et en souligne les limites ; ensuite, elle reconstitue les processus historiques à travers lesquels s'est mis en place, puis développé, le compromis social-démocrate belge. Enfin, elle propose d'améliorer la portée du modèle néo-corporatiste en approfondissant la notion d'intérêt général.
