Regional analysis of exchanges by rail. — To what extent can the analysis of movements developed by a system of transportation lead to a better understanding of the relationship between regions ? An experimental method is developed step by step after exploration in three stages of the area of study : justification of the choice of rail, analysis of the structure of circulation, then of the railway transportation system itself. The structure of the dynamics of railway links is considered in relation to that of the socio-economic system.
Dans quelle mesure l'analyse des mouvements développés par un système de transport peut -elle aider à une meilleure connaissance des relations interrégionales ? La mise au point progressive d'une méthode expérimentale est réalisée après exploration du champ d'étude en trois étapes : justification du choix du chemin de fer, analyse de la structure des trafics, puis du système de transport ferroviaire. La structure des puissances d'interrelation ferroviaire est mise en correspondance avec la structure du système socio-économique.
