  • Description: Abstract : Manifestations of Spiritual Life Reflected in Anthropomorphic Representations of Neoeneolithic Communities in Oltenia and Muntenia. The perception of the space between the Carpathians and the Danube as part of a much wider territory, related to the neolithisation of Balkan Peninsula and south-eastern Europe, implies the connection with the southern Danubian facts, especially with the contemporary cultural events. Understanding the neolithisation phenomenon, the various cultural issues that occurred on the territory north of Danube, would be impossible without the necessary references to the artistic influences that have had an impact on the genesis and evolution of the neo-eneolithic anthropomorphic arts in Oltenia and Muntenia. The fact that the anthropomorphic figurines are represented in various states within most of the neo-eneolithic cultures, demonstrates that there are cultic themes, transposed into arts through stylistic canons.
