  • Description: From empiricism to scientific restoration. Generally speaking, the restoration is a difficult process that implies choosing compatible working materials that will be used through the intervention state, until the final execution. But the most causes of degradation for a ceramic object that were identified throughout its existence, from the discovery moment, comes in great part from the human factor, starting with the archeologist, collection conservator, owner, restorer, the last being the most wrongdoer for the object's poor state of restoration.
