Beschreibung:
Since the early 20th century, film has been used to document architecture, to convey knowledge of architectural history, and to gain new insights. But what does one expect of the visual medium? What can and should cinematic images achieve? What interactions may be observed between historic architecture theory construction and the interest in film? The contributions to this volume are dedicated in particular to the relation between film and cinematographically inspired modern architecture in the 1920s, as well as the importance of digital media for the representation of architecture in recent times.
