Beschreibung:
In this project we used a human neural progenitor cell line (hNPCs), whereat the cells were embedded in the synthetic self-assembling peptide hydrogel and modified formulations. Different protocols of culture conditions (2D versus 3D) were compared to analyze the neuronal differentiation and survival of the cells. The hydrogels enhance the neuronal differentiation of the hNPCs of about 2.3 fold, with an additional increase of about 2,5 fold more for the modified Scaffolds. Additionally the hNPCs were protected from apoptosis and accordingly survived longer when encapsulated in 3D scaffolds.<eng>
