Vergleich der angewandten antiretroviralen HIV-Therapie im städtischen (Berlin) und im ländlichen (Greifswald) Raum
The steady development of ART has led to lower HIV mortality, but also to a significant change in the demands on the quality of care. This study has shown that the quality of care for HIV-infected patients in both urban and rural areas is of a high standard and carried out in accordance with the guidelines. This conclusion can be drawn even though patients from the rural area of Vorpommern presented their HIV infection later and were at a significantly more advanced stage of HIV infection than the Berlin cohort at the start of therapy.
