Beschreibung:
In spring 2021, the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain will present an exhibition dedicated to the latest series of paintings by Damien Hirst, Cherry Blossoms. Begun in 2018, the Cherry Blossoms series is in line with many other series of the artist composed of colored dots, such as Spot Paintings (1986-2011), Visual Candy (1993-1995), Color Spaces Paintings (2016) and Veil Paintings (2017). Both a diversion and a tribute to the pictorial art of the 19th and 20th centuries, it also marks the artist's return to the studio and explores, still in a conceptual approach, the question of beauty in painting, of color. and excess. Exhibition: Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art, Paris, France (06.07.2021-02.01.2022)
