Regulation should:* support activities that reinforce locally embedded natural ecologies and social relations, rather than import industrial modes of production, * constitute markets that develop partnerships between producers and buyers, rather than cut CFF loose on impersonal and remote exchanges, and * locate governance where it recognises and rewards small-scale farmers and foresters as well as national governments, business interests and international finance
