  • Beschreibung: Regulatory impact analysis (RIA) is a tool regulators use to help guide them through the decision-making process when promulgating regulations. When used properly, it has the potential to extend thousands of lives, improve quality of life for citizens, and bestow enormous net benefits on the public. While some difficulties are inherent in the analytical process that produces RIAs, they are not insurmountable. A well-done RIA is a powerful way to gather information for decision-makers, such that regulators are better informed before intervening in markets, and regulations are more likely to achieve objectives
