Beschreibung:
The relationship between the state and the Church, complex and fraught with many crises, involve two categories of institutional actors. The social issues that had to face any of the two powers, since the beginning of human history had been to maintain order and divide justice. Over time, each side developed legal systems to establish standards of behavior and provide procedures for judging and punishing those who violate the law or to reduce conflict by providing means of peaceful settlement of disputes. The interference between law and theology, between the leading foundations in the social life of the state and the experience of the Church as part of society, gave rise to a new discipline in the European academic curricula generically known as canon law or church law. The content of the discipline was closely linked to religious, sociological, political and legal realities, diversified in time and space. The study proposes a diachronic analysis of the presence of religious law in the European academic curricula, particularly in the Law Academy of Oradea, to highlight the teachers' teaching and scientific dimension of canon law during the Romanian higher education institution
