It has been quite a long time now that graphs are been drawn with the help of computers, as it is easier, accurate and less time consuming. Most of the statistical software packages, used these days, have different graphical techniques embedded in them. This presentation makes a comparative study of some selected statistical packages regarding the various types of plot, present in them by default. The plots under consideration are divided into some categories. A technique is developed to quantify the performance of the packages under various categories, and to combine the categorical scores for each package. The study declares S-Plus as the best software for graphics amongst those considered for assessment
