Carl-Harry Stålhane (Sweden, 1920-1990) was one of the leading ceramic artists in Scandinavian Modernism, and Anders Herwald Ruhwald (Denmark/USA, b. 1974) is one of the most prominent names in contemporary international ceramics. This exhibition stages an unexpected and fascinating encounter between their bodies of work. In the catalogue, Ruhwald offers some personal reflections on his relationship with Stålhane's ceramics, and the two artists are presented in essays by writers from Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States
