  • Beschreibung: Employing Multinomial logit models and the Theory of Planned Behavior, this paper brings insight into adaptation to climate change for farm survival. The results show that: i) climate change adaptation could help farm to survive to some extent; ii) intention of adopting climate change adaptation was influenced by subjective norms, attitude, and perceived behavioral control factors; iii) increasing livestock was the most effective strategy to adapt to climate change. These findings imply that increasing livestock by reducing crop land areas could be an effective adaptation measure for farm survival in the context of climate change. The paper suggests: i) to introduce heat-resistant crop varieties and animal species at farm level, ii) to pay more attention on livestock farming than on crop farming to meet the agriculture growth target, iii) to promote mixed crop-livestock production systems, and vi) to review the existing agricultural and climate adaptation policies
