In the film, a series of spots from the reproductive biology of the House Sparrow is presented in a chronological order. After the song of the male and female with regard to their outer appearance is demonstrated. Both male and female inspect the future nesting place and subsequently are shown when collecting grass and feathers as nesting material. Nesting places of different quality including one open air nest in a tree are used. After a demonstration of nest and eggs adult birds are seen when searching for food and feeding their offspring in the nest as well as removing the droppings produced by them. After fledging, the juvenile birds are still fed by their parents and indulge in communal sand and water bathing
