The theoretical model is evaluated through the analysis of collected data from a longitudinal field study of software developing projects in Pakistan. The results reveal some key findings. Firstly, we found that intrinsic and extrinsic motivation both independently affects the project success. Being well paid encourages the employees to contribute positively towards their work. Similarly the intrinsic motivation enhances the motivational level emphasizing on internal interest that enhance the work ability. Surprisingly, there is no such fact is determined where intrinsic motivation is shrinkage due to extrinsic motivation. It is notified that extrinsic motivation enhances the intrinsic motivation at some level. Similarly developers motivation participation is also significantly affect the contribution level towards project success. Finally the HR practices have a vital role towards project success through the central role of implementing practices
