Tools are needed to measure tourism activity's sustainability to take appropriate political decision and action for sustainable tourism development. These tools should provide a global vision diagnosis helping to compare different tourist destinations. This work will introduce the tools applicable for constructing a synthetic indicator to measure the sustainability of the tourism industry in Aragon. There is currently very little research on these kinds of tools applied to tourism, so this study of sustainability measurement has a theoretical value and has a practical meaning
